Introducing the Indie Marketer Cookbook

The shift to GA4 has been challenging for marketers. This friction underscores the importance of Confection's twin mission: help customers take control of digital marketing data on a fundamental, "atomic" level and ensure they operate from a position of independence.

Over the past few months, we've been guiding customers through the UA > GA4 migration process. This experience his has taught us something important: the future of digital marketing analytics is not one-size-fits-all dashboards or canned reporting solutions. It's custom queries into high-quality first-party data sets.

Confection's "Indie Marketer Cookbook" is a collection of recipes and use cases that help marketers do exactly that.

While Confection can send 52-123% more data into reporting solutions like GA4 and Matomo, making use of it there can be a bit of a challenge. This is especially true for GA4 where cross referencing events and campaign details can be difficult and, in some cases, virtually impossible. GA4 is working on making it easier to cross reference events and campaign details, but, at the moment, it's a work in progress.

Since Confection customers have high-quality analytics data in their accounts, the solution to the problem is clear. Technical customers can use their account API and, if they wish, our lowcode/nocode connectors at Zapier, Pipedream, Make (Integromat), and Tray.io to write analytics data just about anywhere. But we wanted to do a better job supporting non-technical customers as well.
